A Festive Tail
Are you sitting comfortably? Good, then we’ll begin…
Once upon a time (autumn 2021, to be precise), London Bridge City asked us to help bring the magic back to the capital’s largest free winter festival. Enter three woodland creatures – a robin, a fox and a stag – emerging from the shadows cast by last year’s lockdown with enough Christmas spirit to brighten even the darkest December day.
As with each Christmas by the River campaign, we started 2021 with a story – a big idea that shaped the overarching identity, print and digital engagement ideas. Our forest friends were on a quest to bring festive joy to the banks of the Thames, through animated films, environmental branding, competitions and social content. Their destination: an illuminated sculpture, twinkling in their image and drawing crowds from across London to the cabins nestled by Tower Bridge.
Between 16 November and 2 January, the fesitival featured in Time Out, Secret London, VisitLondon and The Nudge. Our integrated social media campaign generated:
- over 642k impressions
- over 13k engagements
- over 1.1k new followers.
