A Grand Day Out

We’ve just got back from our grand day out to the Cote d’Essex.

Southend offered a herculean marathon (as we missed the train) to the end of the longest pier in the world, vertiginous rides at Adventure Island and fantastic fish and chips in proportions that would have made Captain Ahab think twice about tackling. We brought back some fantastic memories along with our sunburn.
